APPLICATIONS ARE NOW CLOSED
Applications to the Local Authority Discretionary Grant Fund, a government financial support scheme aimed at organisations who were previously found to be ineligible for government support, are being welcomed by Local Authorities across Nottinghamshire.
District councils across Nottinghamshire have updated their ‘business support’ pages to include an application form for the Local Authority Discretionary Grant Fund. This form is used to assess eligibility for this scheme and applications are being welcomed from organisations who were unable to apply to previous financial support schemes, such as the Retail, Hospitality, and Leisure Grant Fund.
Grants are available to the value of £25,000, £10,000 or any amount under £10,000 (the total amount of the payment is at the discretion of the local authority). Local Authorities had previously stated that ‘the Councils across Nottinghamshire are currently working together to agree a scheme which is fair and consistent and which reflects the criteria stipulated within the guidance. Once finalised, this Scheme and the grant application process will be published on the Council’s website within the next few weeks’.
Application forms for this Discretionary Grant can be found on your local council’s website under ‘Business Support’. The window for applying for this financial support is relatively short, with deadlines falling sometime before the end of the month (at time of writing, most local authorities give a date in mid-to-late June although actual closing dates may vary) so eligible businesses, charitable bodies, and other organisations are urged to apply as soon as possible. Please share, tweet, post on Facebook, email to notify your neighbours/local organisations that this funding is available and open for applications.
Many community buildings across the country are eligible to apply for the Retail, Hospitality, and Leisure grant fund which supports businesses and charitable organisations in those sectors which are currently closed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
